TJ "Iron" Anders
My football career began in the neighborhoods of New Orleans East, the home of Iron Ball. My first year of organized football was as a sophomore in high school. That same year, I was selected as a 2nd team all-district wide receiver. During my junior year, I was a 1st team all-district wide receiver. My Senior year in high school, I was an all-state free safety, 1st team all-district free safety, 1st team all-district wide receiver, and 1st team all-district return specialist. I signed with Southern University in 1999 and helped the team win the 2003 SWAC Championship. In 2009, a severe hamstring injury cut my time short with the Austin Turfcats of the Southern Indoor Football League and forced me to fix my body. From there I obtained a National Exercise and Sports Trainers certification along with the Athletes Acceleration. I was able to combine that with my previous knowledge from other great speed and conditioning coaches. It was then that I found the knowledge and passion to help student-athletes avoid the pits falls of improper training. To date, my greatest speed and agility story is helping one of my former clients and current trainer, Jake Wheeler, drop his 40-yard dash time from a 6.48 to a 4.89 in a year and a half! Most importantly, I am a God-loving, family man that loves his entire community. And oh yeah I love to work.
